Why it caught our eye

Joe’s observation was that cosy games could use more psychological scarring. Welcome to Elderfield seems happy to oblige. The collision of an ordinary farming routine with Lovecraftian neighbours is exactly what caught our attention.

There’s farming, fishing, cooking, mining and a cottage to decorate. There’s also Pete the laundry ghost. Keep things gentle or turn up the danger for turn-based fights with the Old Gods, complete with the very reasonable option to Flee in Terror.
