Owen works near Ganymede. Rachel works near Callisto. Between shifts, she’s the only person he talks to. That’s the detail that makes this horror premise stick with us: company exists, but help is a rather different matter.
The work itself is careful and procedural. Scan the spectrum, tune the frequency, move the dish and record what you find. Then compare notes with Rachel as the results become harder to explain. A good prospect for anyone who likes dread to arrive quietly, through the equipment.
